This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Middle
Tennessee.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Another rain event is underway. With this event periods of heavy
rainfall will be possible. Given the excessive rainfall amounts
that fell in parts of Middle Tennessee last week, additional
flash flooding and river flooding are possible with this active
weather system.
A Flood Watch is valid for locations north of Interstate 40. 1 to
2 and a half inches of rain with higher amounts across Steward
County will be possible through tonight for locations in the Flood
Watch.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday
The next rain event will be on going through Tuesday. The heavy
rain threat focus will shift to the Cumberland Plateau on Tuesday
where 1 inch of rain with locally higher amounts will be
possible. Given the excessive rainfall amounts that fell in parts
of Middle Tennessee last week, additional flash flooding and river
flooding are possible with this active weather system.
