At 348 AM CST, several locations across Middle Tennessee, mainly
north of I-40, were still experiencing high water and even some road
closures due to the heavy rainfall that occurred Wednesday afternoon
and evening. A broad area extending from the Tennessee River to the
Cumberland Plateau experienced 2 to 6 inches of rain, and one
fatality was reported in Pegram due to the flooding.

Some locations that may still experience impacts early Thursday
morning include...
Clarksville, Franklin, Cookeville, Gallatin, Lebanon, Springfield,
Dickson, Ashland City, Lafayette, Waverly, Livingston, Camden,
Carthage, Jamestown, Celina, Dover, Erin, Gainesboro, Byrdstown and
Nashville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 136 and 303.
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 67 and 119.
 Interstate 24 between mile markers 3 and 67.
 Interstate 840 between mile markers 1 and 11, and between mile
markers 61 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
