...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN SMITH...NORTHEASTERN
DE KALB AND SOUTHWESTERN PUTNAM COUNTIES UNTIL 800 PM CDT...

At 716 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles west of Baxter, or 11 miles north of Smithville, moving
southeast at 15 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Baxter, Center Hill Lake and Edgar Evans State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 264 and 281.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
