The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Southern Overton County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern Cumberland County in Middle Tennessee...
  Eastern De Kalb County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northern White County in Middle Tennessee...
  Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 1100 PM CDT.

* At 905 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
  Doppler radar estimates up to two inches of rain have already
  fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville, Smithville, Algood, Monterey, Baxter, Center Hill Lake,
  Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads, Burgess Falls State Park
  and Edgar Evans State Park.

Additional rainfall of up to one inch is possible over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 268 and 309.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
