The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Sumner County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northeastern Robertson County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 605 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Portland, or
  18 miles northeast of Springfield, moving east at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts...quarter size hail...and torrential
           downpours.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees. Localized flooding is also
           possible due to the slow movement of the storm.

* Locations impacted include...
  Portland, Orlinda, Mitchellville and Black Jack.

This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 116 and 120.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

building.
