Subject: National Tropical Cyclone Watch Warning Product (TCV)
           Product Collaboration Tests

The National Hurricane Center (NHC), along with 26 National Weather Service
(NWS) Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) in Southern Region and 15 WFOs in
Eastern Region, will commence with internal software and hardware testing of
the national TCV product collaboration process for the Atlantic basin on
Monday, May 21 and continue daily through Thursday, May 24, 2018. During
this period, NHC will also request test runs of the Hurricane Weather Research
and Forecast (HWRF) and Hurricanes in a Multi-scale Ocean-coupled
Non-hydrostatic (HMON) models.

Internal testing will begin at approximately 1400 GMT and terminate at 1900
GMT daily during scheduled test days. In the event of inclement weather,
Friday, May 25, 2018 has been reserved to serve as backup date for any portion
of testing that was delayed.

Internal TCV test products are not intended to be released externally through
NWS dissemination and communication systems.

Periodic NHC and WFO internal software and hardware testing will continue
during the remainder of 2018. The national TCV product for the Atlantic basin
will contain a summary of NHC/WFO collaborated wind and/or storm surge watches
and warnings, depicted by NWS-defined geographic zones.
