Flood Watch
National Weather Service Nashville TN
151 AM CDT Wed Mar 28 2018

...Heavy Rainfall is Expected Over Western and Northern Middle
Tennessee Today and Thursday...

...Localized Flooding Will Become Likely Tonight and Thursday...

.A slow moving cold front will sag into our area today and become
stationary over western and north central Middle Tennessee this
evening. A period of locally heavy rainfall is expected to occur
this morning over much of the watch area, which will serve to
saturate the ground. A brief interlude in the heavy rainfall is
expected later this afternoon, before another more substantial
period of heavy rainfall moves in tonight and Thursday. These
rains will fall on wet ground, leading to rapid run off and the
likelihood for localized flash flooding. In addition, you can
expect rapid rises on small creeks and streams, as well as the
possibility for rises along larger rivers.

Storm totals in the Watch area are expected to range between 2 and
4 inches over the next few days.
