The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Marshall County in Middle Tennessee...
  Southeastern Maury County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northern Giles County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 1230 PM CDT.

* At 1147 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Columbia,
  moving southeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Emergency management. At 1145 AM CDT, 60 mph winds were
           reported in Columbia with this storm.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Columbia, Pulaski, Mount Pleasant, Cornersville, Lynnville,
  Frankewing and Culleoka.

This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 13 and 36.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
