the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN DE KALB...SOUTH CENTRAL JACKSON...NORTHWESTERN WHITE
AND WESTERN PUTNAM COUNTIES...

At 542 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Baxter, or 8
miles west of Cookeville, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Cookeville, Algood, Baxter, Hamptons Crossroads, Bakers Crossroads,
Burgess Falls State Park and Edgar Evans State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 268 and 291.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
