The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Southeastern Smith County in Middle Tennessee...
  Jackson County in Middle Tennessee...
  Western Clay County in Middle Tennessee...
  Northwestern Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 1145 AM CDT.

* At 946 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms across the advisory area. Radar estimates 1 to 3
  inches of rain has fallen so far this morning. This will cause
  minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Cookeville, Celina, Gainesboro, Baxter, Moss, Whitleyville,
  Granville and Cummins Falls State Park.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 264 and 287.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
