...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN SMITH...NORTHWESTERN
DE KALB AND SOUTHEASTERN WILSON COUNTIES UNTIL 345 PM CDT...

At 320 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Watertown, or 14 miles northwest of Woodbury, moving northeast at 25
mph.

Dime size hail, winds in excess of 40 mph, brief heavy rainfall, and
frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Watertown, Alexandria, Dowelltown and Liberty.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
