...June was much warmer than normal in Nashville...

Nashville's average monthly temperature in June was 79.7 degrees.
This tied 1890 for the 8th warmest June on record. The normal
average temperature for the month is 75.7 degrees. The hottest
recorded June occurred in 1952 when the average monthly
temperature was 84.7 degrees. The hottest temperature recorded
for this June was 96 degrees and it occurred on both the 16th and
17th. The coolest temperature was 60 degrees, which was reached
on both the 4th and 6th of the month. The temperature reached 90
degrees or above 19 days of the month.

A total of 3.82 inches of rain fell during the month, which is
0.32 inches below normal. The highest 24 hour rainfall total was
1.51 inches and occurred on the 10th.

Thunderstorms were reported at BNA 13 days of the month. There
were 10 days with fog.

One tornado occurred in Middle Tennessee in June.

The average monthly temperature in Crossville in June was 72.8
degrees. This tied 1984 and 1977 for the 5th warmest June on
record. The normal average is 71.0 degrees. The hottest
temperature of the month was 89 degrees on the 16th and 17th. The
coolest was 53 degrees on the 6th.

The total rainfall for the month was 5.65 inches, which is 1.05
inches above normal. The highest 24 hour total was 2.24 inches on
the 27th.
