URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Nashville TN
312 PM CST Mon Jan 15 2018

...Snow will impact travel across Middle Tennessee late this
afternoon through Tuesday...

.A cold front will move through the area late this afternoon and
this evening, followed by periods of snow. Snowfall will average
around 1 to 2 inches across Middle Tennessee, with some higher
amounts around 3 inches possible, especially across the northern
and central Plateau as well as far northwestern areas of the mid
state.

Along with the snow, temperatures will plummet into the teens
overnight, and will not rise much at all on Tuesday. The wind will
not be too terribly strong, but it will be enough to keep wind
chills in the single digits late tonight through Tuesday. Some sub
zero wind chills might even be possible across northwest Middle
Tennessee toward sunrise.

Roads will become snow covered and slippery, and with a
continuation of cold temperatures, the snow will stick around for
a couple of days.
