  Shoal Creek Near Iron City AFFECTING Lauderdale and Lawrence Counties

. Even though the precipitation has ended...elevated water levels continue
along Shoal Creek.  The creek is expected to remain above action stage
through this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

from the National Weather Service.

  The Shoal Creek Near Iron City
* Until this evening.
* At 03PM Sunday the stage was 12.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to near 8.1 feet by tomorrow morning.
* At 14.0 feet...Flooding of low lying areas along Shoal Creek begins.
