...Patchy Freezing Fog May Cause Hazardous Travel Tonight and
Thursday Morning...

Much colder air will move into Middle Tennessee tonight. As the
cold air joins with leftover moisture from recent rainfall, patchy
freezing fog will form. These patches of freezing fog are most
likely near lakes and rivers late tonight through about 9 AM CST
Thursday.

The combination of fog with temperatures in the 20s could cause a
thin layer of ice to develop on some surfaces, especially bridges
and overpasses. The thin layer of ice is sometimes called black
ice, and is difficult to see. Travelers are advised to slow down
and be especially cautious late tonight and during the Thursday
morning commute.
