...Heavy Downpours Expected Tonight and Wednesday Morning Across
Middle Tennessee...

Rain will spread across Middle Tennessee tonight, and some heavy
downpours will occur late tonight into Wednesday morning. One to
two inches of total rainfall will occur at most locations. A few
locations with the heaviest downpours could have around 3 inches
of total rainfall.

Widespread, major flooding is not expected, but some impacts are
likely. Motorists should prepare for localized street flooding,
especially during the Wednesday morning commute. Also, water may
build up in low lying and poorly drained areas. Some small streams
will rise quickly and may reach bankfull, but the major rivers
are expected to remain below flood stage.

The rain will taper off from west to east during the mid to late
morning hours on Wednesday. Dry weather will follow through
Friday, then another period of rainy weather will arrive for the
weekend.
