...A Light Wintry Mix Possible Across Mainly Northern Portions of
Middle Tennessee Late Tonight Through Saturday Morning Hours...

As a cold front pushes through Middle Tennessee this evening, much
colder air will move into the region. It is expected that enough
lingering post-frontal moisture will be in place, to result in a
wintry mix developing across northwestern portions of the mid
state late tonight. This wintry mix potential will continue across
mainly the northern half of the mid state through the remainder of
the Saturday morning hours. Some lingering wintry mix potential
will remain across the Cumberland Plateau Region through the mid
afternoon hours on Saturday.

No significant ice accumulations are expected. A dusting, up to
two tenths of an inch across the Upper Cumberland Region, of
sleet and or snowfall accumulation may be possible during the
Saturday morning hours. These accumulations will be mainly on
grassy areas and other elevated surfaces. Although some secondary
roads in isolated locations could become slick, it is not
anticipated at this time that significant travel impacts will occur.

Please stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio, local media, and visit
weather.gov/nashville for the latest information about this
developing winter weather event.
