...HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS TO CONTINUE TODAY...

Hot and humid weather will continue through today as strong high
pressure dominates Middle Tennessee. High temperatures in the 90s
will be common, with heat index values from 100 to 106. The
Cumberland Plateau will not be quite as hot, with maximum heat
index values in the middle 90s. Temperatures and heat index
values will be more tolerable on Monday.

Wear lightweight, loose fitting, and light colored clothing to
reflect heat if you must be outdoors. Drink plenty of water.
Avoid being outdoors during the afternoon, if possible. Check on
relatives and neighbors, especially the elderly.

Do not leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle. The
temperatures inside a vehicle can reach deadly levels in only a
few minutes.
