...HEAT WAVE TO CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY ACROSS MIDDLE
TENNESSEE...

Hot and humid weather will continue through Saturday with strong
high pressure across the Mid State. High temperatures will range
from the upper 80s to lower 90s Plateau, with hotter temperatures
west of the Plateau region. Heat index values will push toward
100 on the Plateau, and from 100 to 106 farther west where a Heat
Advisory is in place.

Wear lightweight, loose fitting, and light colored clothing to
reflect heat if you must be outdoors. Drink plenty of water.
Avoid being outdoors during the afternoon, if possible. Check on
relatives and neighbors, especially the elderly.

Do not leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle. The
temperatures inside a vehicle can reach deadly levels in only a
few minutes.
