...Periods of light snow will continue across Middle Tennessee
on Friday...

An upper level disturbance, which bought light snow to much of the
northern half of middle Tennessee this evening, will be moving
east with the snowfall ending before midnight. However, another
impulse will be racing eastward and will bring a return of light
snow to our western counties toward sunrise. Then, during the day
on Friday, the potential for snowfall will continue with generally
light accumulations being possible. With high temperatures only
expected to reach the lower 20s north to the upper 20s south, any
snowfall that does occur will accumulate on all exposed surfaces.

At this time, it appears that snowfall accumulation amounts on
Friday will range from a dusting for areas north of I-40, to
up to one inch across southern Middle Tennessee and the southern
Cumberland Plateau Region. The snowfall may continue into Friday
evening along the Cumberland Plateau Region where another half
inch of snowfall will be possible.

Although widespread travel problems are not expected, some roads,
especially secondary roads, could become in some places slippery
and hazardous. Exercise caution while driving on area roadways
through Friday night as temperatures will continue to remain below
freezing.

Stay tuned for further updates and advisories, should they become
necessary.
