...LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL POSSIBLE OVER MIDDLE TENNESSEE
TODAY...

A LOW PRESSURE AREA WILL MOVE ACROSS THE MID-STATE TODAY AND
PROVIDE THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. MANY SPOTS WILL
LIKELY SEE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO AN INCH OF RAIN...AND SOME
ISOLATED SPOTS COULD GET BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES. LOCALIZED PONDING
OF WATER WILL BE LIKELY WITH THE HEAVIER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
TODAY...AND THOSE PLACES THAT SEE MORE THAN ONE EPISODE OF HEAVY
RAIN WILL STAND THE BEST CHANCE FOR SEEING PONDING OF WATER...AND
POSSIBLE MINOR FLOODING OF USUAL FLOOD PRONE LOCATIONS.

THE WESTERN AREAS, GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 65 WILL
STAND THE BEST CHANCE FOR RAIN THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON...WITH
EASTERN AREAS LIKELY TO SEE THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL FROM MID
AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING HOURS.
