...Peak wind gusts from July 8, 2016 evening severe storms...

A line of severe thunderstorms developed across western Kentucky
during the late afternoon on July 8, then raced southeast across
much of Middle Tennessee through the evening. These storms
produced widespread wind damage to trees and power lines, and
knocked out power to nearly 50,000 people across Middle Tennessee.

Listed below are some of the peak wind gusts measured by NWS ASOS
and unofficial AWOS stations across Middle Tennessee:

Lebanon Airport..................61 mph at 914 pm
Nashville Int'l Airport..........60 mph at 903 pm
Clarksville Outlaw Field.........49 mph at 755 pm
Crossville Memorial Airport......49 mph at 1044 pm
John C Tune Airport..............48 mph at 855 pm
Smyrna Airport...................44 mph at 928 pm
Dickson Airport..................39 mph at 812 pm
Shelbyville Airport..............38 mph at 955 pm
