...TRAVELERS ADVISORY FOR ALL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING...

AS ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL POTENTIAL HAS ENDED...AND WITH SUNSHINE
PERSISTING OVER MOST OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON
HOURS ALSO...SIGNIFICANT MELTING OF ICE AND SNOW HAS OCCURRED ON
INTERSTATES AND OTHER MAJOR ROADWAYS ACROSS THE MID STATE.
HOWEVER...MANY SHADED SECONDARY ROADWAYS HAVE RECEIVED ONLY MINOR
MELTING...IF ANY MELTING. FOR THE INTERSTATES AND OTHER MAJOR
ROADWAYS ACROSS THE MID STATE...AS THE NIGHT TIME HOURS
PROGRESS...WITH TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO PLUMMET INTO THE TEENS
BY DAYBREAK SUNDAY...AS PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES PREVAIL THROUGHOUT
TONIGHT...EVEN ON THESE TREATED ROADWAYS...ANY MELTED WATER
REMAINING WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF REFREEZING...FORMING PATCHY
DANGEROUS BLACK ICE. FOR MANY SECONDARY SHADED ROADWAYS ICING
POTENTIAL WILL BE EVEN MORE ENHANCED...WITH AREAS TO WIDESPREAD
DANGEROUS BLACK ICE BEING POSSIBLE ON ROADWAYS THAT HAVE
EXPERIENCED MELTING...LET ALONE REMAINING ICE AND SNOWFALL ON
PORTIONS OF OTHER SECONDARY ROADWAYS.

PATCHY FREEZING FOG FORMATION IS ALSO A POSSIBILITY ACROSS MIDDLE
TENNESSEE TONIGHT...LASTING THROUGH THE MID MORNING HOURS ON
SUNDAY. PATCHY FREEZING FOG FORMATION WILL GENERALLY OCCUR IN LOW
LYING LOCATIONS AND ACROSS MUCH OF THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU
REGION...WHERE IT MAY BE LOCALLY DENSE ALSO. FREEZING FOG WILL
RESULT IN SUPERCOOLED FOG DROPLETS THAT WILL FREEZE UPON CONTACT
WITH EXPOSED OBJECTS AND SURFACES...FORMING A COATING OF RIME AND
OR GLAZE...ENHANCING ICING POTENTIAL ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE MID STATE.

AS A RESULT...HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITION ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT
ACROSS ALL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE. THUS...WITH THIS IN MIND...IT IS
RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ONLY TRAVEL TONIGHT IF ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY...
AND IF YOU DO...EXERCISE EXTRA CAUTION WHILE DRIVING AT A REDUCED
SPEED AND LEAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION.

MOSTLY CLEAR TO PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES ARE EXPECTED ON SUNDAY...
WITH TEMPERATURES NOT WARMING TO ABOVE FREEZING UNTIL THE
AFTERNOON HOURS ON SUNDAY. THUS...HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS
WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS ON SUNDAY.
