...MIXED BAG OF WEATHER FOR MIDDLE TN OVER THE NEXT 48 HOURS...

AS AN INTENSE WEATHER SYSTEM DEVELOPS SOUTHWEST OF THE MID-STATE
THIS MORNING AND RAIN CHANCES RAMP UP FOR EVERYONE LATE THIS
AFTERNOON...AN ISOLATED SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL BECOME POSSIBLE
TONIGHT. WHILE THE MAJORITY OF SEVERE WEATHER WITH THIS SYSTEM IS
EXPECTED TO REMAIN SOUTH OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE...STORMS COMING OUT
OF ALABAMA AND MISSISSIPPI BETWEEN 10 PM AND 4 AM COULD PRESENT A
DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WIND THREAT FOR THOSE SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40.

RAINFALL ON THE ORDER OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WITH ISOLATED HIGHER
AMOUNTS ARE LIKELY WITH THIS SYSTEM. WHILE WIDESPREAD FLASH
FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED...ONE OR TWO FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE NOT
OUT OF THE QUESTION TONIGHT IF AN AREA PICKS UP A QUICK 2 OR 3
INCHES.

COLD AIR ON THE BACKSIDE OF THIS SYSTEM WILL ALSO PRESENT MIDDLE
TENNESSEE WITH A CHANCE FOR A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW. WHILE NO
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR A MAJORITY OF THE MID-STATE...THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU COULD SEE UP TO A HALF INCH OF SNOW BETWEEN
MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY AND NOON ON THURSDAY.

PLEASE REMAIN WEATHER AWARE OVER THE NEXT 24 TO 48 HOURS AS SEVERE
WEATHER...FLASH FLOODING AND WINTER WEATHER ARE ALL POSSIBILITIES
DURING THIS TIME FRAME.
