...TRAVELERS ADVISORY FOR ALL OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH THURSDAY
MORNING...

MAINLY SCATTERED LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE MOVING NORTHWEST
TO THE SOUTHEAST ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH THE MID MORNING
HOURS TODAY. AN ADDITIONAL DUSTING TO A TENTH OR TWO OF SNOWFALL
ACCUMULATION MAY BE POSSIBLE BEFORE ENDING THIS MORNING.

THERE SHOULD NOT BE MUCH IN THE WAY OF ANY ADDITIONAL TRAVEL
IMPACTS TO INTERSTATES AND OTHER MAJOR ROADWAYS...AS THESE HAVE
BEEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE WELL TREATED WITH ANTI-ICING AND DE-
ICING CHEMICALS ALONG WITH SNOWFALL REMOVAL. WITH DECREASING
CLOUDINESS EXPECTED AND THE CHANCE FOR ANY ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL
ENDING BY THE MID MORNING HOURS TODAY...SOME MELTING OF ICE AND
SNOW WILL ALSO OCCUR ON SECONDARY ROADWAYS DUE TO DIRECT SUNSHINE.
HOWEVER...WITH AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY EXPECTED TO
REMAIN BELOW FREEZING FOR MOST OF THE MID STATE...EXPECT SOUTHWEST
PORTIONS...WITH HIGHS IN THAT REGION ONLY IN THE MID 30S...SO
MELTING ON MANY SECONDARY SHADED ROADWAYS MAY NOT OCCUR. ALSO...
ANY MELTING DUE TO SUNSHINE TODAY STILL LEAVING WATER ON ROADWAYS
BY THE SUNSET WILL QUICKLY REFREEZE AS THE EVENING HOURS TONIGHT
PROGRESS...AS TEMPS ARE EXPECTED TO FALL MAINLY INTO THE LOWER
20S...MID TO UPPER TEENS CUMBERLAND PLATEAU REGION...BY SUNRISE
ON THURSDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL SLOWLY CLIMB ABOVE FREEZING
BY THE MID TO LATE MORNING HOURS ON THURSDAY.

THUS...EVEN ON TREATED ROADWAYS...ANY MELTED WATER REMAINING WILL
HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF REFREEZING FORMING PATCHY DANGEROUS BLACK
ICE. FOR MANY SECONDARY SHADED ROADWAYS...ICING POTENTIAL WILL BE
EVEN MORE ENHANCED...WITH AREAS TO WIDESPREAD DANGEROUS BLACK ICE
BEING POSSIBLE ON THESE ROADWAYS THAT HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED MELTING
TONIGHT...LET ALONE REMAINING ICE AND SNOWFALL ON PORTIONS OF
OTHER SECONDARY ROADWAYS. AS A RESULT...HAZARDOUS DRIVING
CONDITIONS ON SECONDARY ROADWAYS WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT MOST OF
MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS ON THURSDAY.

THUS...WITH THIS IN MIND...IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU EXERCISE
CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING ON AREA ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY SECONDARY
ROADWAYS...THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. REDUCE TRAVEL SPEEDS AND
LEAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION.
