...LIGHT SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON FOR LOCATIONS WEST OF THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU REGION...

A STRONG AND DEEP UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
OVER THE EASTERN U.S. AS TODAY PROGRESSES. MEANWHILE...A STRONG
COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE PUSHING EAST OF THE MID STATE THIS
MORNING...WITH YET ANOTHER STRONG COLD FRONT PUSHING THROUGH THE
MID STATE THIS EVENING...BOTH AIDING IN USHERING IN A COLDER
CANADIAN SURFACE BASED AIR MASS TO MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

AS NUMEROUS UPPER LEVEL IMPULSES INTERACT WITH THIS INCREASINGLY
COLDER AIR MASS...LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS DURING THE MID MORNING HOURS
TODAY WILL TRANSITION TO A LIGHT RAIN/SNOW MIX BY THE MID
AFTERNOON HOURS TODAY...AND THEN TRANSITION TO ALL LIGHT SNOW BY
THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS TODAY. A GOOD CHANCE OF LIGHT SNOWFALL
WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT AND INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS ON
TUESDAY.

SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE GENERALLY LIGHT...WITH
TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS RANGING FROM AROUND A QUARTER OF AN
INCH ACROSS LOCATIONS NEAR THE TENNESSEE RIVER VALLEY...TO AROUND
ONE HALF OF AN INCH IN THE NASHVILLE METRO AREA/I-65 CORRIDOR...
AND UP TO ONE INCH FOR LOCATIONS JUST WEST OF THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU REGION.

ALTHOUGH THIS SNOWFALL IS NOT EXPECTED TO HAVE WIDESPREAD TRAVEL
IMPACTS...A FEW LOCATIONS COULD EXPERIENCE SLICK ROADS...ESPECIALLY
SECONDARY ONES. CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING LATER THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON IS ADVISED.
