...Much warmer with showers today and strong to severe
thunderstorms late this afternoon and into this evening...

...Turning colder after midnight with the possibility of a wintry
mix through Sunday morning...

A powerful cold front will be on approach today and will move
across middle Tennessee tonight, In advance of this feature, much
warmer temperatures are expected. Showers and thunderstorms are
anticipated, with some thunderstorms reaching strong to perhaps
severe thresholds this evening, with the main threat being
damaging winds.

Tonight, after the arctic cold front sweeps across Middle
Tennessee, much colder air will return to the area. As this
occurs, rain may changeover to a wintry mix of light freezing
rain or light sleet after midnight tonight with the wintry
precipitation potential continuing into Sunday morning. A brief
changeover to light snow may occur before the precipitation ends.
Only minor accumulations of sleet and snow are expected. At this
time, ice accumulation amounts of a trace up to around one tenth
of an inch look possible.

Stay tuned to your local media, NOAA weather radio, and internet
sites such as weather.gov/ohx for the latest on this storm
system.
