...Wettest July on record in Clarksville...

Nearly 12 inches of rain fell in Clarksville in the month of July.
Outlaw field measured 11.98 inches which is 8.06 inches above normal.
This broke the previous rainfall record for the month of July in
Clarksville of 9.78 inches back in 1981. The greatest rainfall
during a 24 hour period was 3.86 inches on the 6th and 7th. Rainfall
records date back to 1890 at the Clarksville waste water treatment
plant.

The temperature for July in Clarksville averaged 2.1 degrees above
normal. The average high was 89.8 degrees and the average low was
70.7 degrees. The hottest temperature during the month was 95
degrees on the 23rd and the coolest was 65 degrees on the 2nd.
There were 17 days with the temperature at 90 degrees or above.

The average wind speed was 4.7 miles an hour. The fastest gust was
53 miles an hour on the 6th.
