WESTERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...
...WIND GUSTS OF 4O TO 50 MPH WILL BE LIKELY...

AS A BAND OF SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CROSSED WESTERN
TENNESSEE EARLIER TONIGHT...STRONG WINDS WERE OBSERVED JUST AHEAD
OF THE RAIN.

BETWEEN 6 PM AND 9 PM...BOTH MEMPHIS AND JACKSON RECORDED WIND
GUSTS TO NEAR 50 MPH. THIS BAND OF STRONG WINDS WILL PUSH INTO
EXTREME WESTERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...IN AREAS NEAR THE TENNESSEE
RIVER...BY MIDNIGHT...THEN REACH AREAS AROUND CLARKSVILLE...
DICKSON...AND WAYNESBORO...BY 3 AM CST. THE BAND OF STRONGEST
WINDS WILL LIKELY REACH THE INTERSTATE 65 CORRIDOR...INCLUDING THE
NASHVILLE AREA... BETWEEN 3 AM AND 6 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING...JUST
IN TIME TO COMPLICATE RUSH HOUR TRAVEL.

WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH CAN EASILY BREAK BRANCHES FROM
TREES...AND EVEN DOWN SHALLOW ROOTED TREES...AND POWER LINES.
THOSE DRIVING HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD BE CAREFUL...
ESPECIALLY WHEN TRAVELING ALONG EAST TO WEST ROADWAYS...LIKE
INTERSTATE 40...WHERE CROSS WINDS WILL BE STRONGEST.

AFTER THIS BAND OF STRONGEST WINDS MOVE THROUGH...YOU CAN EXPECT
MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN TO SETTLE IN OVER THE AREA FOR AT LEAST 3
TO 6 HRS. PONDING OF WATER WILL BE LIKELY...AND MOTORISTS SHOULD
SLOW DOWN AND AVOID CROSSING AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
MANY AREAS WILL LIKELY SEE BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL
