...IT'S BEEN 19 DAYS SINCE MEASURABLE RAIN FELL IN NASHVILLE...

THE LAST TIME MEASURABLE RAIN FELL AT THE NASHVILLE AIRPORT WAS
BACK ON APRIL 25TH WHEN ONLY 0.11 OF INCH WAS MEASURED. THE LAST
SIGNIFICANT RAIN FELL ON APRIL 19TH AND 20TH WHEN A LITTLE OVER AN
INCH AND A QUARTER OF RAIN FELL. THIS IS ONE OF THE DRIEST STRETCHES
ON RECORD FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR...BUT BACK IN MAY OF 1962 NASHVILLE
WENT 27 DAYS WITHOUT MEASURABLE RAIN IN MAY. OTHER DRY STRETCHES THIS
TIME OF THE YEAR INCLUDE...2005...1944...1917...1914 AND 1911.

IN CASE YOU ARE WONDERING...THE MOST CONSECUTIVE DAYS WITHOUT RAIN
IN NASHVILLE IS 36 DAYS WHICH ENDED ON OCTOBER 16TH 1923.

IN 1963 NO MEASURABLE RAIN FELL DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER. THIS
IS THE ONLY MONTH SINCE RECORD KEEPING BEGAN THAT MEASURABLE RAIN HAS
NOT FALLEN.

IRONICALLY...MAY IS NORMALLY NASHVILLE'S WETTEST MONTH...WITH 5.50
