TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

ALTHOUGH ONLY A FEW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MIDDLE TENNESSEE
TODAY...NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD BACK INTO
THE AREA TUESDAY NIGHT. A FEW STORMS MAY BE STRONG WITH GUSTY
WINDS AND SMALL HAIL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

THERE IS AN ENHANCED RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MIDDLE
TENNESSEE WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

A POWERFUL STORM SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS THE REGION COMBINING WITH
UNUSUALLY WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS IN PLACE WILL CREATE
CONDITIONS FAVORABLE FOR WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ON
WEDNESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. SOME STORMS MAY BE STRONG TO
SEVERE...WITH DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND A FEW TORNADOES
ALL POSSIBLE. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND ISOLATED FLOODING OF LOW
LYING AREAS COULD ALSO OCCUR. THE MOST LIKELY TIME FOR ANY SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS APPEARS TO BE FROM 4PM TO 12AM ON WEDNESDAY
EVENING.

MORE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ON CHRISTMAS DAY INTO
CHRISTMAS NIGHT...AND A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY ALSO BE STRONG
WITH GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL.

AN INTENSE COLD FRONT MOVING THROUGH THE MID STATE ON MONDAY INTO
MONDAY NIGHT WILL BRING YET ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA...WITH GUSTY WINDS AND LOCALIZED
FLOODING POSSIBLE.

TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM TUESDAY DECEMBER 22 THROUGH TUESDAY
DECEMBER 29 ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 3 TO 6 INCHES ACROSS MIDDLE
TENNESSEE. THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS MAY CAUSE LOCALIZED FLOODING
AND SUBSTANTIAL RISES ON AREA RIVERS AND LAKES.
