THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
PATCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET ARE FORECAST TO SWEEP ACROSS
NORTHWESTERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE THROUGH MID MORNING...AND PRODUCE
ACCUMULATIONS UP TO AROUND ONE INCH. SOME TRAVEL PROBLEMS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY ALONG BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES...WHICH ARE ALWAYS THE FIRS TO DEVELOP ICY PATCHES.
TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST TO FALL FROM THE LOWER 30S INTO THE
UPPER 20S THROUGH MID MORNING.

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF TO FLURRIES DURING THE LATE MORNING
AND EARLY AFTERNOON.

VERY COLD ARCTIC AIR WILL BE IN PLACE OVER THE MID STATE TUESDAY
THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT...WITH HIGHS ON TUESDAY EXPECTED TO ONLY
REACH THE MID 20S TO LOWER 30S...AND LOWS TUESDAY NIGHT DIPPING
INTO THE TEENS. SINCE TEMPERATURES WILL BE BELOW FREEZING FOR AN
EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME...EXPOSED WATER PIPES WILL BE VULNERABLE
TO FREEZING. PETS SHOULD BE BROUGHT INDOORS...ESPECIALLY DURING
THE COLDEST OVERNIGHT HOURS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

PATCHY SNOW AND SLEET WILL DEVELOP OVER WESTERN AREAS EARLY THIS
MORNING...REACHING THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU BY MID MORNING.
ACCUMULATIONS OF SLEET AND SNOW ARE POSSIBLE...RANGING FROM A
DUSTING UP TO AROUND A HALF INCH. THE EXCEPTION MIGHT BE ALONG THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...WHERE ISOLATED AMOUNTS OF ONE HALF TO NEAR
ONE INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL THROUGH THE 30S
THROUGHOUT THE MORNING...WITH READINGS EXPECTED TO BE AT OR BELOW
THE FREEZING MARK BY LATE MORNING. AS A RESULT...SOME SLICK SPOTS
MAY DEVELOP ON AREA ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY ALONG BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES.

SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS ARE FORECAST TO LINGER ALONG THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU THIS EVENING...AND SINCE TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE MID TO
UPPER 20S...YOU CAN EXPECT SOME ROADS ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU
TO KEEP ICY PATCHES INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
