THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

SEVERAL EPISODES OF WINTER WEATHER ARE POSSIBLE IN MIDDLE
TENNESSEE BETWEEN SATURDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING. THE FIRST
EPISODE WILL OCCUR SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING AS A WEAK LOW
PRESSURE AREA DEVELOPS OVER THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI AND TENNESSEE
VALLEYS. A MIXTURE OF RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW IS POSSIBLE...AND
SOME BRIEF MINOR ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW AND SLEET MAY OCCUR OVER
THE EXTREME NORTHWEST AND ALONG THE HIGHLAND RIM. THE SECOND
EPISODE WILL BE MORE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING MINOR SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
SUNDAY NIGHT AND EARLY MONDAY...ESPECIALLY OVER NORTHERN AND EASTERN
AREAS..AS A WEAK LOW PRESSURE AREA SCOOTS EASTWARD ALONG THE GULF
COAST AND COLDER AIR SPREADS IN FROM THE NORTH.

AFTER THE PRECIPITATION PASSES MONDAY...SOME VERY COLD AIR WILL
SPREAD INTO THE MID STATE. TEMPERATURES STRUGGLING TO GET TO THE
FREEZING MARK ON TUESDAY...FOLLOWED BY LOWS TUESDAY NIGHT IN THE
TEENS WILL PRODUCE CONDITIONS WHERE EXPOSED PIPES MAY NEED
PROTECTION TO PREVENT BURSTING.

SPOTTERS AND LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS ARE ENCOURAGED
TO REPORT ANY SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE IN NASHVILLE.
