TEMPERATURES WILL BE PLUNGING SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND DOWN INTO THE
SINGLE DIGITS BY MORNING MORNING...WITH A LOW OF 3 DEGRES EXPECTED
IN NASHVILLE. MONDAY'S HIGH IN NASHVILLE WILL ONLY REACH 7 DEGREES
ABOVE ZERO. MONDAY NIGHTS LOW IS FORECAST TO DROP TO 1 ABOVE ZERO
IN NASHVILLE. TUESDAY'S HIGH IS EXPECTED TO BE 17 DEGREES. ALTHOUGH
IT'S COLDER THAN WE'VE SEEN IN SEVERAL YEARS...NO RECORDS AT THIS
TIME APPEAR TO BE IN JEOPARDY.

OTHER AREAS AROUND MIDDLE TENNESSEE WILL SEE EVEN COLDER
TEMPERATURES WITH MONDAY MORNING LOWS NEAR ZERO ALONG THE KENTUCKY
BORDER WITH SINGLE DIGIT HIGHS FORECAST FOR MONDAY ACROSS THE
NORTH HALF WITH TEMPERATURES AROUND 10 OVER THE SOUTH HALF. MONDAY
NIGHT'S LOWS WILL BE BELOW ZERO AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS ACROSS
NORTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE AND ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU WITH
CROSSVILLE AREA GETTING DOWN TO A -3 DEGREES.

SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO TOTAL 1 TO 2 INCHES ACROSS MIDDLE
TENNESSEE WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS IN THE UPPER CUMBERLAND.

THE LAST TIME NASHVILLE WAS DOWN 1 DEGREE ABOVE ZERO WAS ON
JANUARY 18TH 2003. WE HAD 7 INCHES OF SNOW ON THE GROUND AT THE
TIME.

NASHVILLE GOT DOWN TO 5 DEGREES ABOVE ZERO ON JANUARY 16TH 2009.
NO SNOW COVER AT THE TIME.

THE LAST TIME NASHVILLE GOT DOWN BELOW WAS ON FEBRUARY 5TH 1996
