THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THE APPROACH OF A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL BRING WIDESPREAD RAINFALL
BEGINNING MIDDAY THURSDAY...WITH SEVERAL WAVES OF HEAVY RAIN ON AND
OFF THROUGH MONDAY MORNING. BY THE END OF THE WEEKEND...WIDESPREAD 2
TO 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL TOTALS WILL BE LIKELY...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 6 INCHES ACROSS THE UPPER AND LOWER CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU COUNTIES POSSIBLE. THIS MUCH RAIN WILL LIKELY POSE A RIVER
FLOODING THREAT TOWARDS THE END OF THE WEEKEND.

MUCH COLDER AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE MID STATE BEHIND THE COLD FRONT
LATE FRIDAY WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR WINTRY WEATHER. A MIXTURE OF
MAINLY FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET IS EXPECTED BEGINNING FRIDAY EARLY
AFTERNOON AND CONTINUING FRIDAY NIGHT...MAINLY FOR AREAS WEST OF
I-65 AND NORTH OF I-40. ICE ACCUMULATION IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY
LIKELY FOR THESE AREAS...THOUGH A CHANGEOVER TO SNOW BEFORE
PRECIPITATION MOVES OUT IS POSSIBLE. THERE WILL BE ANOTHER CHANCE
FOR WINTRY WEATHER SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING ACROSS THE SAME
LOCATIONS...WITH FREEZING RAIN BEING THE MAIN THREAT. A COLD AND DRY
ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL FINALLY MOVE INTO THE AREA BY TUESDAY...DRYING
CONDITIONS OUT. PLEASE STAY TUNED REGARDING THIS DEVELOPING WINTER
WEATHER SITUATION.
