AREAS AFFECTED...CNTRL-NRN GA / UPSTATE SC / WRN NC / ERN TN

CONCERNING...TORNADO WATCH 640...

VALID 180014Z - 180215Z

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR TORNADO WATCH 640 CONTINUES.

SUMMARY...THE STRONGER STORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE CAPABLE OF
INTERMITTENT LOW-MID LEVEL ROTATION THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS.

DISCUSSION...A CONTINUED TORNADO RISK /ALBEIT MODEST/ WILL CONTINUE
AS LOW LEVEL WIND FIELDS GRADUALLY INCREASE THIS EVENING INTO THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE MORE INTENSE UPDRAFTS MAY OCCASIONALLY ROTATE
AND ATTAIN SUPERCELL CHARACTERISTICS...ESPECIALLY IN VICINITY OF THE
NEARLY STATIONARY WEDGE FRONT DRAPED ON LEE SIDE OF THE SRN
APPALACHIANS. AS SUCH...ANY TORNADO/S THAT MAY POTENTIALLY DEVELOP
WILL LIKELY BE WEAK...ALTHOUGH THE POTENTIAL TORNADO THREAT WILL
PROBABLY INCREASE TONIGHT.
