AREAS AFFECTED...SRN KY...NRN TN

CONCERNING...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 245...

VALID 051006Z - 051200Z

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 245
CONTINUES.

SUMMARY...A LINE OF STORMS WILL LIKELY PERSIST FOR A WHILE
LONGER...BUT IT APPEARS THAT SEVERITY MAY DECREASE GRADUALLY.

DISCUSSION...A LINE OF STORMS CONTINUED TO DROP SWD THROUGH WW 245
AND NOW ENTERING NRN MIDDLE TN. ERN PORTIONS OF THE LINE HAVE BEEN
THE MOST IMPRESSIVE ON RADAR WITH CONVECTION KEEPING UP WITH THE
GUST FRONT. HOWEVER...LATEST TRENDS INDICATE THE GUST FRONT SURGING
FARTHER AWAY FROM THE PARENT STORMS. IF THIS TREND CONTINUES...THEN
A GENERAL WEAKENING IS EXPECTED. CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TO BE
MONITORED...BUT IT IS NOT CLEAR THAT ANOTHER WATCH WILL BE NEEDED
OVER ERN TN AS STORMS INTERACT WITH LESSER INSTABILITY AND COOLER
BOUNDARY LAYER TEMPERATURES.
