...CROSSVILLE BREAKS ALL-TIME RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE AS DROUGHT
STRENGTHENS...

THE TEMPERATURE CLIMBED 102 DEGREES ON JUNE 29TH BREAKING CROSSVILLE'S
ALL-TIME HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORD OF 101 DEGREES SET ON JULY 16TH
1980. DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET ON JUNE 28TH WITH 97
DEGREES...JUNE 29TH WITH 102 DEGREES...JUNE 30TH WITH 100 DEGREES.

IT'S INTERESTING...THAT EVEN WITH ALL THE RECORD TEMPERATURES IN
JUNE...CROSSVILLE ENDED THE MONTH 0.2 DEGREE BELOW NORMAL. THIS
WAS BECAUSE MUCH OF THE FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH WAS BELOW NORMAL
IN TEMPERATURE.

THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 82.8 DEGREES AND THE AVERAGE LOW
WAS 58.9 DEGREES. THERE WERE 5 DAYS WITH THE TEMPERATURE 90
DEGREES OR ABOVE.

JUNE WAS DRY IN CROSSVILLE WITH 1.91 INCHES OF RAINFALL. THIS WAS
2.69 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.

THERE WERE 5 DAYS WITH THUNDERSTORMS.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED WAS 3.4 MILES AN HOUR. THE FASTEST GUST WAS
30 MILES AN HOUR ON THE 22ND.

FOG OCCURRED ON 13 DAYS. THERE WERE NO DAYS WITH DENSE FOG.
