...OCTOBER WAS COOLER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL...

OCTOBER 2011 IN NASHVILLE WAS THE COOLEST SINCE 2001. THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 58.6 DEGREES WHICH IS 1.7 DEGREES
BELOW NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 71.3 DEGREES AND
THE AVERAGE LOW WAS 46.0 DEGREES.

THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE IN NASHVILLE DURING OCTOBER WAS 84 DEGREES
ON THE 16TH AND THE COOLEST WAS 30 DEGREES ON THE 29TH.

THERE WERE 2 DAYS IN WHICH THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WAS 32 DEGREES
OR BELOW.

NO NEW DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN DURING OCTOBER AT NASHVILLE.

RAINFALL FOR OCTOBER TOTALED 0.93 INCH WHICH WAS 2.11 INCHES BELOW
NORMAL. THE GREATEST CALENDAR DAY RAINFALL WAS 0.48 INCH WHICH
FELL ON THE 28TH.

THIS WAS THE THIRD OCTOBER SINCE THE YEAR 2000 WITH LESS THAN AN
INCH OF RAINFALL. FROM 1900 THROUGH 1999...THERE WERE 13 OCTOBERS
WITH LESS THAN AN INCH OF RAINFALL.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED WAS 5.0 MILES AN HOUR. THE FASTEST GUST
WAS 33 MILES AN HOUR ON THE 19TH.

THERE WERE NO DAYS WITH THUNDERSTORMS IN OCTOBER AT NASHVILLE.

FOG OCCURRED ON 12 DAYS IN OCTOBER AT NASHVILLE...WITH 2 OF THOSE
WITH DENSE FOG.

CROSSVILLE...WAS COOLER THAN NORMAL IN OCTOBER WITH NEAR NORMAL
RAINFALL. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 54.8 DEGREES
WHICH IS 2.2 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS
66.0 DEGREES AND THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 43.7 DEGREES.

THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE IN CROSSVILLE DURING OCTOBER WAS 80 DEGREES
ON THE 6TH AND THE COOLEST WAS 29 DEGREES ON THE 30TH.

THERE WERE 3 DAYS IN WHICH THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WAS 32 DEGREES

RAINFALL FOR OCTOBER TOTALED 3.00 INCHES WHICH IS 0.04 INCH BELOW

CLARKSVILLE...WAS COOLER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL IN OCTOBER. THE
AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 57.5 DEGREES WHICH IS 1.4 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 70.3 DEGREES AND THE
AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 44.7 DEGREES.

THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE IN CLARKSVILLE DURING OCTOBER WAS 84
DEGREES ON THE 6TH...AND THE COOLEST WAS 28 DEGREES ON THE 29TH.

THERE WERE 3 DAYS IN WHICH THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WAS 32 DEGREES
OR BELOW.

RAINFALL FOR OCTOBER TOTALED 1.75 INCHES WHICH IS 2.16 INCHES
BELOW NORMAL. THE GREATEST CALENDAR DAY RAINFALL WAS 0.63 INCH ON
THE 18TH.
