LOOK FOR A CONTINUATION OF NUMEROUS SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS
LOCATIONS...MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40...THROUGH
200 AM. HEAVY SNOWFALL HAS BEEN REPORTED ACROSS LOCATIONS
APPROACHING THE TENNESSEE...ALABAMA BORDER...WITH AS MUCH
AS FOUR TO FIVE INCHES ACROSS SOUTHERN LAWRENCE COUNTY.
HOURLY SNOWFALL RATES ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO RANGE
FROM ONE HALF TO ONE INCH AN HOUR...WITH SOME LOCATIONS
EXPERIENCING BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES AN HOUR...WHERE
THERE IS ENOUGH INSTABILITY ALOFT IN THE ATMOSPHERE TO
CAUSE THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP.

AREA ROADWAYS WILL QUICKLY BECOME SNOW COVERED...SLIPPERY...
AND HAZARDOUS. BECAUSE OF THESE SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS
THAT HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR...MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO
RESTRICT...OR AVOID...TRAVELING ACROSS THE AREA IF AT ALL
POSSIBLE.

TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF BETWEEN ONE AND THREE INCHES ARE
EXPECTED TO OCCUR ACROSS LOCATIONS NEAR THE TENNESSEE...KENTUCKY
BORDER...TO NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40...WITH AS MUCH AS EIGHT INCHES
ACROSS LOCATIONS APPROACHING THE TENNESSEE...ALABAMA BORDER...BY
MONDAY AFTERNOON.
