THE MID STATE. THROUGH 1100 AM...SNOW WILL DIMINISH ALONG THE
INTERSTATE 40 CORRIDOR...EXTENDING FROM THE NASHVILLE AREA OVER TO
COOKEVILLE. MEANWHILE...SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE FURTHER SOUTH...
FROM WILLIAMSON COUNTY...OVER TOWARD MURFREESBORO...WOODBURY...
SMITHVILLE...MCMINNVILLE AND SPENCER. SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SNOW
SHOWERS WILL ALSO OCCUR OVER OTHER AREAS...FURTHER SOUTH...TOWARD
LEWISBURG...SHELBYVILLE AND MANCHESTER.

WHERE THE SNOW FALLS...MANY ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED...WITH
SLIPPERY SPOTS.

WITH PEEKS OF SUN STARTING TO DEVELOP. SHORTLY BEFORE 900
AM...RADAR SHOWED THE BAND OF MOST NUMEROUS SNOW SHOWERS PUSHING
SOUTH OF THE ADVISORY AREA. HOWEVER...A BLANKET OF SNOW...UP TO THREE
AND FOUR INCHES...COVERS THE AREA...AND MANY ROADS REMAINED SNOW
COVERED AND SLIPPERY. ONCE THE SUN STARTS TO PEEK OUT...ROAD
CONDITIONS SHOULD GENERALLY START TO IMPROVE. HOWEVER...HIGHS ARE
ONLY EXPECTED TO BE IN THE UPPER 20S TODAY... SO LITTLE MELTING OF
THE SNOW ON THE GROUND IS EXPECTED.
