AREAS AFFECTED...MIDDLE TN THROUGH CNTRL KY

CONCERNING...TORNADO WATCH 224...

VALID 270933Z - 271030Z

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR TORNADO WATCH 224 CONTINUES.

A PORTION OF TORNADO WATCH 224 WILL LIKELY NEED TO BE REPLACED BY
ANOTHER TORNADO WATCH THAT WILL INCLUDE MIDDLE TN AND POSSIBLY INTO
A PORTION OF CNTRL KY PRIOR TO 10Z. ANOTHER OPTION IS TO LOCALLY
EXTEND ERN PORTION OF WW 224. DAMAGING WIND AND ISOLATED TORNADOES
WILL REMAIN THE PRIMARY THREATS.

EXTENSIVE SQUALL LINE CONTINUES FROM CNTRL KY SSWWD THROUGH MIDDLE
TN...NWRN AL INTO SRN MS. PORTION OF LINE FROM SRN MIDDLE TN SWD IS
MOVING MORE RAPIDLY THAN FARTHER NWD THROUGH MIDDLE TN AND KY. A
STRONG SLY LLJ WILL PERSIST AND SHIFT SLOWLY EWD THROUGH THE TN AND
OH VALLEYS MAINTAINING FAVORABLE LOW LEVEL HODOGRAPHS FOR EMBEDDED
QLCS TORNADOES. ATMOSPHERE EAST OF THE LINE IS MARGINALLY UNSTABLE
ESPECIALLY WITH NWD EXTENT INTO KY...BUT SUFFICIENT FOR A CONTINUED
SEVERE THREAT GIVEN THE STRONG VERTICAL SHEAR PROFILES.
