...THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN TENNESSEE...

  CUMBERLAND RIVER AT CLARKSVILLE AFFECTING MONTGOMERY COUNTY

.THE CUMBERLAND RIVER AT CLARKSVILLE CONTINUES TO RISE TO RECORD LEVELS. THE
AMOUNT OF WATER FLOWING DOWN THE CUMBERLAND RIVER IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION...AND
IS CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION IN THE CLARKSVILLE AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AVOID FLOODED AREAS ALONG THE RIVER...AND MOVE PERSONAL BELONGINGS TO HIGHER
GROUND. NEVER DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADS AS THE DEPTH OF WATER MAY BE TOO GREAT
TO PASS...EVEN IN TRUCKS OR SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. IF YOU COME ACROSS A FLOODED
ROAD...TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN.

...FLOOD WARNING EXTENDED UNTIL 05/06 09:00...THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR
  THE CUMBERLAND RIVER AT CLARKSVILLE
* UNTIL 05/06 09:00.
* AT 05PM MONDAY THE STAGE WAS 61.5 FEET AND RISING.
* RECORD FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND RECORD FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 46.0 FEET.
* THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 63.0 FEET BY MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.
  THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE THURSDAY MORNING.
* AT 63.5 FEET...SEVERAL PRIMARY AND SECONDARY ROADS ALONG CUMBERLAND RIVER AND
  RED RIVER IN CLARKSVILLE WILL BE COVERED BY FLOOD WATERS.
* AT 61.5 FEET...FLOODING OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL INUNDATE MANY AREAS AND ROADS
  IN CLARKSVILLE. THE APPROACH TO HWY 13 BRIDGE WILL BE CUT OFF.
* AT 49.0 FEET...BOTH BANKS OF THE CUMBERLAND RIVER BEGIN TO OVERFLOW AND
  SEVERAL SECONDARY ROADS ALONG THE RIVER WILL BE COVERED BY FLOOD WATERS.
* AT 46.0 FEET...THE LEFT BANK OF THE CUMBERLAND RIVER OVERFLOWS AND MINOR
  FLOODING BEGINS IN CLARKSVILLE.
* AT 40.0 FEET...WATER LEVELS APPROACH LOW LYING AREAS ALONG THE BANKS.
