...FORECAST FLOODING CHANGED FROM MAJOR TO RECORD SEVERITY FOR THE FOLLOWING
RIVERS IN TENNESSEE...
  CUMBERLAND RIVER AT CLARKSVILLE AFFECTING MONTGOMERY COUNTY
...FORECAST FLOODING CHANGED FROM MAJOR TO RECORD SEVERITY FOR THE FOLLOWING
RIVERS IN TENNESSEE...
  RED RIVER NEAR PORT ROYAL AFFECTING MONTGOMERY AND ROBERTSON COUNTIES
.RUNOFF FROM RECENT RAINS HAVE CAUSED WIDESPREAD FLOODING. THE CUMBERLAND
RIVER AT CLARKSVILLE WAS AT 58.1 AT 3 AM CDT AND WILL CREST AT 59.0 FEET
BY THIS AFTERNOON. THE RED RIVER NEAR PORT ROYAL WAS AT 48.9 FEET AT 3 AM
CDT AND WILL CREST AT 49.5 FEET THIS MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AVOID FLOODED AREAS ALONG THE RIVER...AND MOVE PERSONAL BELONGINGS TO HIGHER
GROUND. NEVER DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADS AS THE DEPTH OF WATER MAY BE TOO GREAT
TO PASS...EVEN IN TRUCKS OR SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. IF YOU COME ACROSS A FLOODED
ROAD...TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN.

* AT 03AM MONDAY THE STAGE WAS...58.1 FEET
* RECORD FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND RECORD FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 46.0 FEET.
* THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 59.0 FEET BY THIS AFTERNOON. THE RIVER
  WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
* AT 61.5 FEET...FLOODING OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL INUNDATE MANY AREAS AND ROADS
  IN CLARKSVILLE. THE APPROACH TO HWY 13 BRIDGE WILL BE CUT OFF. THIS IS A MAJOR
  LIFE-THREATENING FLOOD. AVOID THE RIVER.
