...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE, TN HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR
THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE...

  MILL CREEK NEAR WOODBINE AFFECTING DAVIDSON COUNTY

...FORECAST FLOODING CHANGED FROM MINOR TO MAJOR SEVERITY FOR THE FOLLOWING
RIVERS IN TENNESSEE...

  MILL CREEK NEAR ANTIOCH AFFECTING DAVIDSON COUNTY

.HEAVY RAINFALL IN THE MILL CREEK BASIN HAS CAUSED WATER LEVELS TO RISE AND
CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION ALONG THE CREEK. EXPECT WATER LEVELS TO BE NEAR
LEVELS NOT SEEN SINCE 1979...WHEN THE LEVEL NEAR ANTIOCH REACHED ALMOST 24 FEET.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AVOID FLOODED AREAS ALONG THE RIVER...AND MOVE PERSONAL BELONGINGS TO HIGHER
GROUND. NEVER DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADS AS THE DEPTH OF WATER MAY BE TOO GREAT
TO PASS...EVEN IN TRUCKS OR SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. IF YOU COME ACROSS A FLOODED
ROAD...TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN.

* AT 03PM SATURDAY THE STAGE WAS...17.0 FEET AND RISING RAPIDLY.
* MODERATE FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MAJOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 14.0 FEET.
* THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 22.3 FEET BY TONIGHT. THE RIVER WILL
  FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE TOMORROW.
* AT 25.0 FEET...WATER BEGINS TO APPROACH THE DIXIE PLYWOOD AND LUMBER COMPANY
  BUILDING AND THE ROADWAY TRUCKING COMPANY BUILDING.
* AT 22.0 FEET...WATER COMPLETELY FLOODS THE ROADWAY TRUCKING CENTER PARKING
  LOT...AND BEGINS TO FLOOD THE DIXIE PLYWOOD AND LUMBER COMPANY PARKING LOT.
* AT 20.0 FEET...WATER IS A FOOT DEEP OVER PORTIONS OF FRANKLIN LIMESTONE ROAD
  NEAR MILL CREEK.
* AT 19.0 FEET...WATER BEGINS TO APPROACH FRANKLIN LIMESTONE ROAD...AND THE ROAD
  MAY BE SUBJECT TO CLOSURE AT HIGHER RIVER LEVELS.
* AT 18.0 FEET...WATER BEGINS TO FLOOD THE LOW LYING PORTIONS OF THE PARKING LOT
  AT THE ROADWAY TRUCKING CENTER.

  GLENROSE AVENUE AND THOMPSON LANE BEGIN TO FLOOD.
* AT 14.0 FEET...WATER BEGINS TO FLOOD THE YARDS OF HOMES ALONG WIMPOLE DRIVE
  AND CURREY ROAD NEAR THOMPSON LANE...AND THE LOW LYING PORTIONS OF BUSINESSES
  NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF OLD GLENROSE AVENUE AND THOMPSON LANE.
* AT 13.0 FEET...WATER BEGINS TO FLOOD PORTIONS OF OLD GLENROSE AVENUE NORTH OF
  THOMPSON LANE.
