AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT...A SIGNIFICANT ICE STORM IS EXPECTED IN A
FEW OF THE FAR NORTHEAST COUNTIES.

.A WINTER STORM SYSTEM APPROACHING FROM THE SOUTHWEST WILL
DELIVER ANOTHER SHOT OF FROZEN AND FREEZING PRECIPITATION TO THE
MID STATE WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT. PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN
AS A MIXTURE OF LIGHT SNOW AND SLEET LATER WEDNESDAY MORNING...
AND WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE DURING THE DAY...WITH SIGNIFICANT
ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND WEDNESDAY

* GEOGRAPHIC AREA: TENNESSEE COUNTIES FENTRESS...PICKETT...
  OVERTON...CLAY...JACKSON AND MACON COUNTIES IN THE NORTHERN
  CUMBERLAND PLATEAU AND HIGHLAND RIM.

* TIMING: LIGHT SNOW AND SLEET WILL BEGIN ACROSS MUCH OF THE
  WARNING AREA EARLY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. PRECIPITATION WILL
  GRADUALLY SWITCH OVER TO A MIX OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN LATE
  IN THE DAY. THIS MIXTURE WILL CONTINUE THROUGH NIGHT.

* ACCUMULATIONS: ONLY LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED. TOTAL
  ICE ACCUMULATIONS UP TO AND EVEN EXCEEDING ONE QUARTER OF AN
  INCH CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE WARNING AREA THROUGH WEDNESDAY
  NIGHT...WITH THE GREATEST AMOUNTS OF ICE OCCURRING IN AREAS
  NEAR THE KENTUCKY STATE LINE.

* IMPACTS: ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF THESE AMOUNTS WILL CREATE HAVOC ON
  ROADWAYS AND ADD TREMENDOUS WEIGHT TO TREES AND POWER LINES...WITH

  TEMPERATURES WARM WEDNESDAY EVENING... PRECIPITATION WILL
  GRADUALLY SWITCH OVER TO LIGHT RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS: MINOR AMOUNTS OF SNOW CAN BE EXPECTED LATE
  WEDNESDAY MORNING. MEANWHILE...TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH
  WEDNESDAY EVENING WILL RUN AROUND ONE TO TWO TENTHS OF AN INCH.

* IMPACTS: SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN...IN PARTICULAR...WILL QUICKLY
  CONTRIBUTE TO TREACHEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS BEGINNING WEDNESDAY
