THE HIGH TEMPERATURE TODAY IN NASHVILLE WAS 22 DEGREES BREAKING THE
RECORD OF 26 DEGREES SET BACK IN 1962 FOR THE LOWEST DAILY HIGH
TEMPERATURE FOR DECEMBER 13TH.

DECEMBER 2010 IS OFF TO ONE OF THE COLDEST STARTS ON RECORD.
THROUGH THE FIRST 12 DAYS THE TEMPERATURE IS AVERAGING 8 DEGREES
BELOW NORMAL. THIS IS THE COLDEST START TO DECEMBER IN NASHVILLE
SINCE 1942. THE COLDEST DECEMBER ON RECORD IN NASHVILE WAS IN 1989
WHEN THE TEMPRATURE AVERAGED 11 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THE MONTH.

SNOWFALL IN NASHVILLE THIS MONTH HAS TOTALED 2.6 INCHES. THIS IS
MOST SNOW IN DECEMBER SINCE DECEMBER OF 2000 WHEN 2.6 INCHES ALSO
FELL. THE MOST SNOW EVER TO FALL IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER FELL IN
1963 WHEN 13.2 INCHES WAS MEASURED.
