A SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE AREA WILL BE LOCATED DIRECTLY OVER THE
MID STATE TONIGHT. THIS...ALONG WITH CLEAR SKIES...AND LIGHT TO
CALM WINDS...WILL MAKE FOR IDEAL CONDITIONS FOR TEMPERATURES TO
DROP BELOW THE FREEZING MARK IN MOST LOCATIONS.

...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 7 AM CST FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 7 AM CST FRIDAY. THE
FREEZE WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

THIS INCLUDES ALL COUNTIES OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE THAT ARE NOT NEAR
OR ON THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. COUNTIES NEAR AND ON THE CUMBERLAND
PLATEAU HAVE ALREADY EXPERIENCED A KILLING FREEZE EARLIER THIS
SEASON. SO NO MORE FREEZE WATCHES OR WARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED FOR
THIS AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR
HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER
SENSITIVE VEGETATION.

ANY OUTSIDE PLANTS THAT ARE SMALL ENOUGH CAN BE PROTECTED BY
COVERING THEM WITH NEWSPAPERS OR BLANKETS. POTTED PLANTS CAN BE
BROUGHT INDOORS.
