THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 120
CONTINUES.

LINEAR MCS CONTINUES ITS RAPID MOVEMENT EAST ACROSS SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM WATCH 120. THIS ACTIVITY IS PROGRESSING THROUGH THE
REMNANTS OF STEEPER LOW LEVEL LAPSE RATES OVER WV THAT WERE
GENERATED FROM EARLIER DAYTIME HEATING. DESPITE THE MEAGER MOISTURE
IN PLACE THIS POCKET OF INSTABILITY APPEARS TO BE PARTLY RESPONSIBLE
FOR ONGOING ISOLATED ROBUST UPDRAFTS AND AT TIMES STRONG LINE
SEGMENTS. CONVECTIVE OVERTURNING AND THE ENTRAINMENT OF MUCH DRIER
AIR EAST OF THE APPALACHIAN RIDGE SUGGEST THUNDERSTORMS WILL WEAKEN
AS THEY SPREAD EAST OF THE HIGHER TERRAIN.
