THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

...SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EAST OF INTERSTATE 65...

A STRONG FRONTAL ZONE IS PUSHING THROUGH THE AREA TODAY AND WILL
MOVE OUT OF THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU BY EARLY EVENING. MODERATE
INSTABILITY AND STRONG WIND SHEAR WILL BRING A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS TO COUNTIES EAST OF INTERSTATE 65. THE MAIN THREAT
WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS AND HAIL. EXTENSIVE RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS
HAVE OCCURRED OVER THE AREA TODAY. RAINFALL MAY EXCEED THE
CAPACITY OF AREA STREAMS AND CREEKS AND POSSIBLY CAUSE FLOODING OVER
THAT AREA. RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO TAPER OFF FROM THE WEST AFTER
THE PASSAGE OF THE FRONT.
